About Madison
Connecting those difficult chord transitions usually happens after we look at the underlying theory together. You want to see the fretboard as a landscape instead of a mystery. We focus on scales and modes to give your songwriting the depth it deserves. Ear training remains a consistent part of our routine for 17 years of refined teaching.

Playing music started in the small living rooms of Lima where the guitar was always within reach. I found my path by listening to the older musicians who taught me that rhythm is the heart of every song.
Over 17 years of teaching, I have worked with 112 students who wanted to find their own voice on the instrument. Adults often come to me because they want to understand the mechanics behind the melodies they love. Self-taught players frequently reach a point where they need a clear map to keep progressing.
Providing that map is exactly what I do best. My method relies on years of practice and a deep appreciation for the craft. I know exactly how to guide you to the next level of your musical journey.
