First contact: 1 hr of informal conversation (while being pragmatic, with questions, exercises) and diagnosis of lifestyle, interests and roots of student disinterest / difficulty versus time window available to choose learning approach that we will use together. I start from what the student knows and try to get to the roots of difficulties by gradually increasing the challenges I pose for the student to appropriate and gain confidence that he is able to - truly - solve what he needs. Subsequent contacts: Pragmatics from 1-2hrs and oriented to take the student to the level necessary for what he / she aims to achieve (without forgetting to learn and understand, with clarity, each step studied). My implicit goals: to build self-confidence and incremental knowledge so that the student is self-sufficient in the shortest possible time or with the highest security of concepts (depending on the student's and parents' goals, for example, recovery tests or school or college supervision).
