About Eva
"Watching a student finally navigate a complex passage is the reason I dedicate my time to teaching. Having earned an MMus in Piano Performance from Massey University, I combine academic rigor with the 13 years of experience I have gained working with pupils of all ages. My focus remains on establishing strong foundations while guiding you through sight playing, hand independence, and nuanced music theory.
I integrate dynamics, expression, and pedaling technique into our regular work to ensure you develop authentic MUSICAL FLUENCY. My teaching philosophy centers on purposeful practice that creates a clear path toward long-term growth."

"Fluency at the keyboard arrives when you consistently connect your hands to the music you hear in your mind. During our time together, I utilize my background from Massey University to break down memorization techniques and accompaniment skills into manageable, daily habits.
I draw on 13 years of experience to ensure our sessions remain productive, focused, and aligned with NCEA levels 1 to 3 requirements. You will find that our work together builds the specific technical habits needed for true artistic independence. We start our journey together with a free trial lesson to map out your specific goals and musical interests. I am confident that we will build the solid foundation you need to thrive."
