About Donovan
Singers of all backgrounds often find themselves hitting a wall with their projection or confidence. My training at the Boston Conservatory as a voice principal defines how I operate. I bridge the gap between piano and voice because singers should learn to accompany themselves.
13 years of teaching has taught me much. Dealing with stage fear management is vital. Vocal health and care are essential, while harmony singing remains an art.
Tone and resonance are crucial. Microphone technique is often overlooked. Head and chest voice registers need balance. It really comes down to the basics.

Performance anxiety stops many talented individuals from truly singing out. 7.0 is the baseline for vocal clarity I demand.
I keep my piano nearby to demonstrate exactly what a song wants. Breathing exercises are essential. Warm up your cords. Manage your breath.
Develop greater control over your range and microphone setup.
Find your tone. Balance your resonance. You get free access to my specific exercise notes.
