About Carla
Hello! I am a first generation Syrian Australian completing my final year of high school. My love for literary English books grows wide, with some of my favourite classical literature novels varying from Lord of the Flies, Shakespeare’s Othello, Catch-22 & Animal Farm.
I believe all students must be provided with a chance to grow into their own individuals, and explore whatever may interest them. That is why I believe in tailoring my tutoring to each student I support, and what they are interested in, to allow them to really understand the literature which they’re studying, and connect to the meaningful purpose behind each novel.

I run a blended style of teaching, providing tailored classes for each student and accomodating for their individual needs.
I have experience tutoring year 9, 10, and 11 students for over 4 years through a school based program, but am confident in my ability in teaching all high school levels. I’m most experienced with medium English levels, but can support high achieving students in continuing to increase their skills. Lengths of lessons vary from 20-60 minutes and can cover various new writing techniques and revision for essay writing. I have an extensive reading background and can educate students on a variety of texts, and literacy devices.
I have an Arabic speaking background, which can support arabic speaking students with making connections with their English learning.
