About Lena
I am patient, approachable and passionate about helping students build confidence in writing and reading skills. As a teaching assistant I have the experience of supporting young people with their comprehension skills, an experience that has taught me how to explain things in a clear and confident way. I am able to break down difficult topics in order to simplify difficult tasks and understand that each student and learner is different, therefore I am able to adjust my teaching style depending on the individual and their needs.

I absolutely love English literature and would absolutely love to be able to inspire young people to appreciate and feel as enthusiastic as I do towards the subject! My techniques will be based on my own revision techniques such as breaking down tasks into small, manageable steps. I use guided practice to encourage independent work, as well as supporting students with planning and revision tools such as mind maps and blurting techniques. The typical length of a lesson would be an hour to an hour and a half and are directed mainly towards GCSE and A-level students studying English literature.
