About Nova

Hello there! I'm Nova, a year 12 NCEA student. I like math - I find satisfaction in finishing an equation and enjoy the challenge of doing one. While this is a very unpopular opinion, I will not force it upon you whilst teaching. I will ask you what your goal is, and while teaching you, I will try to make it as enjoyable and as easy to understand as possible. So hopefully you can enjoy learning math :) I understand the struggle and frustration of not understanding something, so I'm here trying to ease that struggle for anyone else. Learning can be difficult and sometimes you need an extra boost to reach your full potential. I wish to help so that you are not limited in any way. I believe that through hard work and practice, your goals will be attainable!

About the lesson

I have an understanding of personalized learning - everyone has a different way of learning which is better suited for themselves. Some people like to actively learn while others prefer reading off of PowerPoints/slideshows - any of which I will do my best to understand and work around so that students can get the most learning out of a lesson. I've been voluntarily tutoring at school for a couple of months now, and I wish to expand this mission, so - Here I am! My lessons are online and for anyone from within primary level to NCEA level 1. Sessions are a minimum of 30 mins and can go up to an hour. I can extend this to 2 hours if I am given a heads up so I can try to fit it in my schedule.
