I am a student who is currently studying a biomedical degree at the University of Surrey and graduated from the American International School in Hong Kong. The length of the lesson should depend on the complexity of the topic so the students are able to understand rather than memorise. However, it should roughly take 1 hour to teach and either the next session or an additional session could be used to practise what was being taught.
