About Emily
Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a high school educator with over eight years of experience teaching Humanities and Social Sciences and English, including ATAR Politics and Law and ATAR Modern History. I’m studying the Juris Doctor.
My approach is calm, patient and formulaic, with a strong focus on making students feel comfortable by giving them a structure they can rely on.

History and Civics requires you to not only think critically but to think critically, accurately at speed.
My lessons can focus on but aren't limited to:
• respond to command words effectively
• develop a strategy for each source analysis
• a formula for building historical arguments
• demonstrated work examples to integrate evidence effectively
• effective content selection for purposeful analysis and evaluation
• in-depth content analysis of key ideas, events, and people

Emily has such a wealth of knowledge, and she shares it in the most considerate and kind way. I've known her for more than 10 years now, since we worked together, and she's helped me through my studies and so much since then. Her background in law and HASS means she brings real depth to her teaching, not just surface-level stuff. She has a real gift for explaining things clearly, and she never makes you feel rushed or silly for not getting something straight away. Her patience and genuine care really come through, and I honestly can't recommend her enough.
Emily is knowledgeable, patient and kind. She can explain even the most complex topics with simplicity and ease!!
