About Eden

Hello! My name is Eden, and I am a passionate writing instructor at the secondary school and university levels. I have always loved reading and expressing myself through the written word, and I can't wait to share that love with you! I have taught writing-focused coursework in the social sciences and humanities for four years as a graduate instructor. I taught the basics of argumentative essay writing, creative nonfiction, research papers, and more to more than 400 students. Additionally, I have worked in public school systems for an additional two years as a tutor, classroom assistant, volunteer speaker, and more. I can't wait to put this broad range of experiences to work as your writing tutor - whether it's for traditional academic papers, job applications, creative projects, or anything in between!

About the lesson

Writing is a very personal process, and I expect my students to take an active role in their learning, so that I know what works for them and so that they feel engaged and in control of our sessions.

I draw on a wide range of methodologies in my teaching, but always begin by asking students to tell me their goals and priorities in a tutoring session so that I can design learning objectives to best help them achieve those aims!
