About
Versatile writer with an MFA in creative writing. Storytelling is my passion, and with that comes a strong love for spelling, grammar, literacy, and finding the right words for the best effect. I have the most experience tutoring young adults, but in the past I've tutored middle school students, as well as taught college level English composition courses. One of the interesting things I learned as a creative writer: You can only bend and break the rules if you know the rules.

Teaching method: identify difficult test areas, learn the student's goals, and create a strategy
Typical lesson plan: using quizzes, flash cards, and hands-on examples, we will work on problem areas, learn best tips for the SAT/ACT test taking, and work on vocabulary
What sets me apart: 5+ years of experience and college level teaching experience. I also like to get to know my student(s) in order to foster a positive learning environment
Student level: Typically I work with sophomores and juniors in high school but very much open to any young adult age, including college freshman level students
