My tutoring approach is student-centered, structured, and strengths-based. I help students become stronger readers, writers, and thinkers by breaking complex tasks into clear steps and teaching practical strategies for comprehension, analysis, organization, revision, and self-expression. A typical lesson includes a check-in, review of previous work, a focused skill lesson, guided practice, independent application, feedback, and next steps.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine rigorous academic instruction with patience, cultural awareness, mindfulness, and respect for each student’s voice. I support middle school, high school, college, adult, and English language learners in literature, writing, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, college essays, creative writing, and academic communication.
