I am passionate about helping people realize their true potential and become more confident in their abilities. As a scientist and aspiring polyglot with a love for communication, whether that be written or spoken, I cannot wait to support others achieve their language goals. You can trust me to provide personalized guidance as I have a versatile skillset when it comes to English; I am a medical writer with a peer-reviewed, published scientific article, Director of Publishing at an international non-profit, certified instructor of English as a Foreign Language, and a trained science communicator. I am also fluent in French and have some proficiency in Greek and Spanish, so I'm happy to connect through different languages and interests!

About the lesson

I love to take the time to really analyze language use. This includes diction, tone, voice, grammar, and any other potential concerns. A typical lesson plan will vary based on the student's needs and goals. This may involve together reviewing an assignment and providing tools or tips for how to improve, performing a mini-lecture on a given topic and offering examples of "do's and don't's", or something else. I think what sets me apart as a tutor is my advanced knowledge and passion for writing; I personally write a lot for my career from academic and informal perspectives, lead a team of writers at a non-profit, and have published articles. I believe that my focus on scientific writing makes me more than just an English writing tutor; I can give very tailored guidance within this field of expertise. My lessons are thus most tailored for science students and aspiring scientists, but I am also a trained instructor of English as a foreign language with a passion for reading and writing. I am therefore happy to work with people of all backgrounds to help them achieve their goals and become more effective communicators!
