About Jade
I am a poet and poetry translator with many publications under my belt. After pursuing academia for years, I have realized that my passion for teaching is better suited to an environment where I can teach as I please. I am a former literary editor, former daycare worker, former teacher/tutor of Italian. Language is my passion, and I love nothing more than sharing that passion with others. Personally, I think equity and inclusion are a top priority, as I am a disabled woman who was, for many years, a disabled student. I want everyone to feel as welcome to learning as I have been made to feel by my teachers and mentors over the years.

My approach relies on the tradition of Montessori learning and teaching; however, I excel at coming up with a structured plan to meet whatever specific goals you have in mind. I have experience in editing, publishing, translation, and tutoring. My ultimate goal is to make sure that we have fun...because when you have fun, you remember what you're learning.
For the record I am disabled and especially equipped to work with students with disabilities, mental or physical. My virtual classroom is an inclusive place where we can all learn together!
