About Dora
I am a grandmother of 11 and have worked with children all of my life. I have excellent rapport with students and their families. Recognizing each student's academic strengths and weaknesses, and their learning style is foundational to having success in helping them to excel, and I have strong abilities in these things. My students respect my expectations, but also know that I am patient, and will reinforce hard work. I will integrate past topics periodically to ensure they are being retained, and to allow the student to feel confident in their ability.

I generally begin with assessing previous years' skills when working with a new student. Any gaps that I discern will then be integrated into our sessions as we also learn new skills. I will begin to learn the student's learning style and we will use that to help our sessions to be productive. My students are always met with patience, along with clear expectations to use our time wisely, and I will also integrate fun and reinforcement.
