About Oratile
I am a dedicated, approachable and friendly tutor with a strong academic background in Biological Sciences, specializing in Microbiology and related subjects. I hold a BSc in Biological Sciences and a BHSc Honors degree in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (with distinction), and I am currently completing my Master’s degree in the same field.
I am passionate about helping students truly understand their work rather than simply memorizing content, as I believe a “cram, pass, and forget” approach often creates difficulties later during exam preparation. My tutoring style is calm, patient, and supportive, and I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and engaging with the material. I take pride in being well-prepared, organized, and reliable, and I tailor each lesson to suit the individual needs and goals of the student.

My approach to private tutoring is student-centred and focused on understanding rather than memorisation. I tailor each lesson to the student’s pace and learning style, breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps. What makes me unique as a tutor is my calm, approachable, and low-intimidation teaching style, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions and build confidence in their abilities. I teach primarily in English.
In a typical lesson, students can expect a short review of previous work, clear explanations of new concepts, guided practice, and constructive feedback. I also focus on teaching students how to approach and answer exam questions in a way that helps them maximise marks. Lessons are structured but flexible, with space to focus on problem areas and exam preparation.
My lessons are aimed at high school learners and early-level university students, particularly in Biology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, and related subjects. I am especially well-suited to students who feel overwhelmed by content-heavy subjects or need support building a strong conceptual foundation.
