Hi, I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. I specialise in helping students develop their voice for both performance and studio work. I incorporate modern technology such as DAWs, vocal processors, and studio microphones to prepare students for recording and songwriting. My lessons focus on genres like R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian, while encouraging each student to explore their unique sound. I work closely on lyric interpretation, tone shaping, harmonies, and phrasing, ensuring that every note is expressive and intentional. Lessons are tailored to both hobbyists seeking personal growth and aspiring recording artists preparing for the professional music world. My singing methodology focuses on developing musicality, pitch control, and emotional expression for all students. I work with advanced teens and ensemble singers, helping them refine their tone, dynamics, and phrasing. For advanced teens, lessons emphasise vocal flexibility, breath control, and confidence, allowing them to perform solo or in front of peers with ease. Ensemble singers, such as quartet players, focus on blending, harmony, and adaptive phrasing to match different vocal parts. We explore a variety of genres, from pop and R&B to jazz, classical, and contemporary styles. Students practise adapting their voice to suit each style while maintaining their unique sound. I integrate modern tools like DAWs, vocal apps, and metronomes to track progress, analyse pitch accuracy, and monitor rhythmic precision. These tools help students understand their voice technically and creatively. Improvisation exercises, song interpretation, and performance simulations build stage confidence and expressive skills. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, providing challenges while keeping learning motivating and enjoyable. My approach ensures every singer develops technical strength, emotional connection, and adaptability, enabling them to excel both individually and in group settings.
