About Tavian

I’m a guitar teacher with over 10 years of experience and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies. I specialize in helping students sharpen their ears and deepen their connection to the music they love. Ear training is a major part of how I teach, because I believe strong listening leads to confident playing. In my lessons, we explore how to transcribe solos by ear, recognize chord progressions without needing sheet music, and build pitch accuracy with focused drills. I guide students step by step through identifying intervals, hearing harmonic movement, and developing rhythmic precision. We use real songs and musical examples to keep things practical and fun. Whether you're learning jazz, rock, or pop, I help you hear and feel the music more clearly.
