About Tess
I have 5 years of experience teaching Biology and enjoy making learning about plants and animals exciting for middle school students. Lessons are designed with clear explanations, hands-on experiments, and engaging stories. Activities such as observing seed germination, pond life, or plant growth make concepts tangible. Nature walks and storytelling bring biodiversity and ecosystems to life. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore, and think scientifically. Lessons focus on observation, experimentation, and building curiosity. Each activity reinforces understanding while promoting independent learning. Students develop confidence and a love for the natural world. Small experiments spark creativity and excitement. I celebrate every discovery and help learners connect concepts to real life. My goal is to make Biology approachable and fun. Together, we explore the amazing variety of life around us.

The teaching approach emphasizes life’s diversity and evolutionary biology through hands-on, engaging lessons. Students learn about natural selection, speciation, and phylogenetics in a structured, step-by-step way. Lessons promote evidence-based reasoning and critical thinking. Activities include analyzing adaptations, constructing evolutionary trees, and exploring real-life examples. Learners are guided to interpret data accurately while developing independence. Step-by-step problem-solving builds confidence and understanding. Lessons connect concepts to observable biological phenomena. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore, and think scientifically. Challenges gradually increase in complexity to build skills. Every session balances theoretical understanding with practical application. Learners gain both knowledge and curiosity about evolution. Guidance ensures accuracy while encouraging exploration. By the end, students can discuss evolutionary patterns and processes confidently. Learning is interactive, practical, and inspiring.
