About Ivy
With a MSc in Radiochemistry and more than 5 years of tutoring experience, I teach chemistry with a focus on food and nutrition. My expertise lies in macromolecules such as proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. I guide students in understanding their biological and dietary roles. Food additives are also a major part of my lessons, from preservatives to flavor enhancers. I explain how they work and how they affect health. I place strong emphasis on metabolic processes, making them easier to follow. My lessons include dietary analysis to make chemistry personal and practical. Students often evaluate their meals to see science at work. I also cover food product development, showing how chemistry drives food innovation. Cooking chemistry is another tool I use to inspire curiosity. Whether it’s baking bread or fermenting dairy, I connect chemical reactions to daily life. My teaching style is supportive and interactive. I help students connect theory with practice. By learning with me, you’ll gain confidence in chemistry and insights into nutrition and culinary science.

My chemistry teaching is based on clarity, application, and patience. Analytical chemistry is my main focus, with a strong emphasis on spectroscopy methods like NMR, IR, and UV-Vis. Chromatography is explained with both theory and hands-on relevance. Quantitative analysis is introduced gradually, building confidence in data handling. My style is relaxed, so students feel comfortable learning step by step. Instrumental analysis is at the center of my lessons, connecting ideas to lab techniques. Geneticists and microbiologists often benefit from my guidance in applying chemistry to their research. I help them understand methods that support experiments in biology. Each lesson balances theory with practice. I create a supportive environment where students can test their understanding. I encourage active engagement and critical thinking. Learning is not just about solving problems but understanding their context. My aim is to prepare learners for both exams and research. Together, we’ll make chemistry a reliable part of your laboratory work.
