About Chelsea Alexandra
I've loved teaching as far back as high school. In my senior year, I coached the math section of our Academic Decathalon team and tutored K-8 math in afterschool programs.
Starting in my junior year of college, I lead dozens of students to academic success in pre-calc, trig, physics, AP Physics, and AP Calculus each year. During the summers, I trained students up for the SAT Math and Physics subject tests.
After graduating with an Applied Math, B.Sc. from UCLA, I went on to tutor college students in their own lower and higher level math and physics classes.
Alongside my extensive experience tutoring, I've been working in data anlytics and engineering for over a decade. With my experience in enterprise companies, I'm able to not only hone my students' academic success, but begin coaching them for success in their careers.

If you've ever claimed you're "not a math person", I'm here to reassure you that no one is a math person. Each of our successes are heavily influenced by how much our teachers can work with us individually to develop our skills. Learning math in a large classroom makes most people feel like they'll never understand it.
In our first few sessions, I will give you small challenges, stretch your understanding of math/physics, and find the holes in your education that previous teachers have failed to fill. Once I have a beat on how you think, I'll customize every lesson according to how you learn best. At first, I'll be there helping you through each step of each challenge, but by the end you'll find yourself doing it completely on your own.
After our sessions, you will not only be confident in your skills, you'll see the results of all your efforts in improved scores.

Chelsea was my tutor for AP Calculus BC, Honors Physics, and SAT/ACT.
