About Leanna

I have six years of nursing experience and am almost done with my MSN in nursing education. I often accept trainees at work because I love to teach and inspire new nurses. I work to encourage critical thinking skills and ask questions designed to challenge my learners to grow their knowledge and skill. I also enjoy writing papers and received high marks on papers I submitted both in my undergrad and master's program.

About the lesson

I regularly work with orientees within my current job and am often told I am a very good teacher.
I am very patient and am willing to dive into a much or little detail as you need on any given subject.
My goal is to support you in individual classes or help you create an overall study plan. We can begin by discussing your concerns and selecting topics for discussion.
I prefer to ask questions which encourage your critical thinking skills. Additionally, we can go over graded exams to explore areas for improvement.
I also enjoy writing, so am happy to evaluate writing for research-based classes. I can share my methodology for writing research papers and obtaining a high score by following a grading rubric.
I have knowledge of med/surge nursing as well as operating room experience which gives me a very solid knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
