About Ishita
With over 10 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science, I specialize in helping middle school students who struggle with foundational algebra concepts. I focus on making topics like linear equations, polynomial expressions, and basic functions clear and approachable. I use fun puzzles, real-life examples, and step-by-step problem-solving to build both understanding and confidence. I believe learning math should be engaging, so I tailor lessons to fit each student’s unique learning style. Many of my students come with math anxiety, but I work patiently to help them overcome it through encouragement and practice. My teaching approach in Maths is gentle and reflective, focusing on building deep conceptual understanding of higher mathematics. I work closely with DIY Learners and Researchers, supporting them to discover their unique ways of approaching complex theorems. Together, we break down difficult proofs into manageable steps and find meaning behind abstract ideas. I encourage curiosity and reflection, helping students connect concepts rather than just memorizing formulas.
