About the lesson

Hello everyone, I'm Wu Yanling, a native Chinese teacher from China. You can also call me Teacher Candy. I worked as an early childhood educator in China for ten years, during which I developed my own relaxed and lively teaching approach through interacting with children—my students always loved attending my classes. I apply the same methods when teaching my own child: no matter what subject it is, I first spark his interest. As the Chinese saying goes, "Interest is the best teacher." Only when children are interested will they be willing to learn. Eventually, I helped my son become a top scorer on China's college entrance exam. My younger son is now five years old and already an outstanding student who can recite dozens of classical poems. So please believe me—I am a dedicated teacher, and learning Chinese with me will never be boring! I carefully design each lesson to be a magical, fun, and personalized language adventure tailored just for you. Based on your interests, I use games, videos, riddles, flashcards, and graded reading materials to help students fall in love with learning Chinese. I can even have my little one chat with your child, helping them improve their speaking skills naturally and effortlessly. Besides, I love singing, so I can teach you Chinese songs while you learn the language, or even show you how to dance Chinese square dancing. I also enjoy cooking various traditional Chinese dishes like dumplings and zongzi—we could exchange culinary skills outside class! My students range from young children and teenagers to adults. I offer a wide variety of teaching materials and carefully select the most suitable ones based on each student’s individual needs, treating every lesson with care and dedication.
