About Raúl
Hello! I am Raúl and I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. I am passionate about movies, art, music and international cuisine. I have been teaching Spanish and English for over than 4 years to people from all around the world and I have a good grasp of what learning a second language feels like. I understand the struggles of becoming fluent in a second language and I have developed a passion towards helping people achieve their goals in my mother tongue. My method is adaptable and it depends on the needs of each student. If you are learning from scratch, we will start by learning some useful expressions then, we will move forward to learning the necessary grammar and vocabulary for communication. We will also do fun exercises to reinforce the subjects we learn in class.
The second step would be to learn necessary and useful skills and phrases to help you in different contexts (such as greetings and goodbyes, requests, orders, suggestions, expressing likes and dislikes, etc). We will equally pay attention to the cultural part of the language, which is essential in the development of a second or third language.
The third step of this method would be to further develop your speaking skills using activities to help you become communicative. We will be working with resources selected by myself such as articles and readings that lead to different conversational topics and discussions.
