About Elizabeth
I am a Colombian in my mid-fifties. My native language is Spanish. I am a professional woman who holds a degree in Trade and Publicity from the University Politecnico Grancolombiano – Faculty of Trade and Publicity in Colombia.
I have a long and proven history of employment and a strong personal work ethos, having worked for the most important newspaper in Colombia, CASA EDITORIAL EL TIEMPO as well as the well known Editorial CIRCULO DE LECTORES.
Following my marriage, I moved to the UK in 2010 and have worked on and off in the retail sector until October 2016.
I like the theatre, visiting places of historical interest, walking, swimming, books, music, and films. My main hobby is crafting in which I make personalized greeting cards and photo albums.

I am not just another native Spanish speaker, I also possess an excellent understanding of its usage both in professional and social environments, From these strengths I have decided to forge a new career in teaching Spanish, in support of which I am studying teaching techniques at the renowned Cervantes Institute in London.
At this moment in time, I am trying to broaden my experience through teaching basic Spanish classes and conversation sessions.
I have a natural warmth and a good sense of humor and a lot of patience, which enables me to form effective teaching relationships. My teaching style is participatory, mixing books with activities, and conversation, to deliver a well-rounded learning experience.
