About Shanteka
As a dedicated reading tutor, I bring not only experience and proven strategies, but also a deep belief in the potential of every learner. My approach is rooted in patience, consistency, and a personalized understanding of each student’s strengths and challenges. I’ve helped students move from frustrated and discouraged to confident and engaged readers — and that transformation is what drives me every day. What sets me apart is my ability to meet students where they are and guide them forward with compassion and clarity. I don't just teach reading; I build trust, ignite curiosity, and help learners unlock the confidence they need to thrive not just in school, but in life. My tutoring is backed by results, but more importantly, by relationships. Students leave my sessions not only reading better, but feeling better about themselves. That’s my legacy as a tutor — empowering minds, one page at a time.

Students should take lessons from me because I bring a personalized, patient, and encouraging approach to every session. I understand that every student learns differently, especially when it comes to reading, so I tailor my strategies to meet their individual needs — whether they’re struggling with phonics, comprehension, fluency, or confidence.
I create a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and celebrating their progress. My goal is not just to improve reading skills, but to help each student develop a love for reading and the belief that they can succeed.
