About Jared
I’m Jared Ravelo, soon to study Chemical Engineering at UCL. I’m passionate about teaching because I love seeing my students progress and succeed, whether it's mastering difficult concepts or gaining confidence in their abilities. Watching that growth is incredibly rewarding. Outside of academics, I’m also a huge basketball fan, which teaches me the value of perseverance and teamwork—qualities I aim to inspire in my students.

I prefer to teach by example, guiding students through problem-solving by demonstrating my thought process and techniques. My lessons typically range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the student’s grasp of the material. My lessons are designed for Year 12/13 students preparing for Edexcel A-Level exams, providing personalized tutoring to enhance their understanding and confidence. I focus on interactive, hands-on learning to ensure students master concepts before moving forward which is also why for online sessions I stream my own live work so that I can show my working out, for example on Microsoft teams there is a shared whiteboard for both me and the student to work on.

Perfect! Jared was able to explain how to calculate several questions I struggled on while looking at past papers. He was able to take my understanding on maths to a whole other level. I would never hire another tutor again, Jared all the way.
