About Ruthie
I have grown up in Minnesota my whole life. I grew up in a big family with my dad being a youth pastor and my mom being an occupational therapist. I am the oldest of 5 kids and love my family and the role of being an older sister. I went to college in Arizona at Grand Canyon University and graduated in 2025 with a degree in elementary education. I love doing anything outside with my family and friends. I also spend a lot of my time journaling, cooking, crafting, etc.

I think that all methods and techniques of teaching are specific to the student you're working with. Things that might work for one student might not work for another and that's why it's important for me to build rapport with all my students. Knowing what they like and how they live their life gives me a better understanding of how they're going to learn best. My degree is in K-6 so that's what I would be most comfortable and capable of teaching properly. I also work with students all over the spectrum and love to work with any students that need help or that need to be pushed even more in their skills. Most lesson plans will be made depending on the student. I love involving manipulatives within my teaching but also know that some students do best with simply just paper and pencil.
