About Eleanor
Hi, I'm Ellie. I am a trainee Teacher, working within the Foundation area of my local FE college. I cover Functional Skills classes (Math and English) as well as Digital Skills, Enterprise and other such life skills. I have worked in education for the majority of my 15 years in employment and am a registered STEM Ambassador too. The first year of my DET has been very successful; my efforts in building positive working relationships with students has ensured programme completion and progression for many.

Teaching is a daunting prospect at any level but I began lecturing 16-18 year olds who suffer hardship, SEN, ill mental health and issues with behaviour. It proved to be very challenging, but it becomes mutually enjoyable when you realise that you must connect with every student.
