About Erin
Hi, I'm Erin! >> You can feel confident choosing me as your Spanish tutor because I bring both depth of experience and a professional, supportive approach. I completed 13 years in a rigorous dual immersion program where half of my core subjects were taught in Spanish each year, rotating between subjects like math, science, history, and literature. This gave me a strong academic foundation in Spanish across many contexts, all taught by native speakers from different Latin American countries. >> I’ve also earned the Colorado Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and scored a 5 on the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam, demonstrating advanced proficiency and cultural understanding. As a current Business Administration and Spanish student at Western Washington University, I continue to study advanced grammar, composition, and conversation at the university level. >> My teaching style is clear, patient, and personalized. I’m committed to making Spanish accessible and meaningful for every student. Whether you're preparing for AP exams, improving conversational skills, or learning Spanish for professional or personal goals, I’ll help you build genuine understanding and lasting confidence in a respectful, encouraging environment.

>> Hi, I'm Erin!
~ As a Spanish tutor, I bring years of immersive, practical experience and a supportive, student-centered approach.
>> My experience:
~ I attended a dual immersion school for all 13 years of my primary and secondary education, where half of my core subjects were taught in Spanish every year. This program used a rotating schedule—for example, one year math and science were taught entirely in Spanish while history and literature were in English, and then the subjects would swap the following year. All of my Spanish-language teachers were native speakers from different countries across Latin America, which gave me not only fluency but also a deep appreciation for the diversity of the Spanish-speaking world.
~ In addition to this foundation, I earned the Colorado Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and scored a 5 on the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam, demonstrating advanced mastery of both grammar and cultural understanding.
~ I’m now pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Spanish at Western Washington University, where I’ve taken advanced courses in Spanish grammar, composition, and conversation.
>> My teaching method is:
~ Interactive, practical, and tailored to you. I focus on helping you truly use Spanish, not just memorize it. I combine clear explanations with real-world practice, cultural insights, and activities that build lasting confidence.
>> A typical lesson includes:
~ A short review to reinforce what you know
~ Introduction of new grammar or vocabulary in context
~ Guided conversation and translation practice
~ Cultural materials or readings to deepen understanding
~ Time for questions and clarifying tricky topics
>> What sets me apart is:
~ My lifelong, immersive experience learning and using Spanish in an academic setting with native-speaking teachers. I know how to make Spanish approachable, engaging, and meaningful for learners at any level.
>> My lessons are ideal for:
~ High school students preparing for AP Spanish or advanced Spanish coursework
~ College students seeking stronger Spanish grammar, composition, or conversation skills
~ Adults wanting practical Spanish for work, travel, or daily life
~ Anyone who wants an encouraging, patient environment to build Spanish fluency and confidence
>> I believe language learning should be clear, relevant, and enjoyable. I’m here to help you achieve your Spanish goals with real understanding and lasting results.
