About Jam
We are Jay and Marcelle, we are teen tutors who help children build confidence in Math and French. We create fun, friendly, and patient lessons where students can learn at their own pace. Our goal is to make learning enjoyable while helping every student feel proud of their progress.

I believe learning should feel fun, comfortable and encouraging. As teen tutors I use explanations, clear examples, playful games and fun activities to make Math and English easier to understand.
A typical lesson begins with a review then we learn a new skill together. Next we practice with guided examples. Then the student tries on their own. Finally we review what the student learned and celebrate the student's progress.
What sets me apart is that I understand what it feels like to be a student. I am patient, friendly and focused on building confidence, not on getting the right answer.
My lessons are designed for children ages five to eight from beginners to students who need extra help, with Math or English. I adapt each lesson to the child's level, pace and specific needs.
