About Mike

I was a fine art student when I met and married my wife. Since her parents were not about to let her be with a starving artist, I immediately began working in art retail. The funny thing about that is artists shop in art stores, and that began my introduction to some very well-known artists. This was in Evanston IL., and that little store just north of Chicago did an amazing business.
As the art dept manager, I formed relationships with the best fine art vendors and as well the incredible artists who shopped there! When we moved to FL, I started repping for these same fine art vendors, and met so many more incredible artists. What I learned from rubbing elbows with these nationally known wonders far exceeded my art education!

About the lesson

I make lessons fun and inviting to explore different mediums and surfaces. Any level of student can gain something new, whether it be in color theory or techniques. My experience working with some of the finest artists in the country has taught me more than my formal college drawing and painting education. My approach is completely hands on! Lessons will include learning techniques. styles, and how to use various mediums.
