About Kate Andrea
Hello! My name is Kate, and I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. With two years of teaching experience, I have developed a personalized approach to education that caters to the unique needs of each student.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Physiology, pharmacology, and health studies with a minor in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan, where I graduated with honours and distinction. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in biology and anatomy, allowing me to explain complex concepts in an understandable and relatable way.
My tutoring philosophy is centred on patience, encouragement, and adaptability. I believe that every student can excel with the right guidance and support. Whether it's preparing for exams, tackling difficult homework, or building foundational skills, I strive to create a positive and productive learning environment.

My methodology and techniques will be tailored to each student, as I believe that every student has a different learning strategy (e.g., visual learner).
What a tutoring day could look like:
- quick recap (could be a mini-quiz to check the knowledge gap): focus on the lesson plan for the day, answer questions, and re-do or review the mini-quiz. Help strategize how to improve the knowledge gap before the end of the session.
I always ensure a safe space and engaging environment where questions are welcome.
I am eager to teach students from elementary to high school and university.
