About Abolfathi
I hold a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Surrey, England, and have served as a Professor of Biochemistry for over 30 years, specializing in teaching, research, and clinical laboratory management. My expertise spans biochemistry, clinical chemistry, molecular biology, enzymology, metabolic regulation, and chromatin architecture, with extensive experience in mentoring MSc and PhD students.
I have played a significant role in academic program development, laboratory training, and scientific research, contributing through numerous publications and authored books in the field. I have taught protein structure and metabolism, covering a broad spectrum of topics in biochemistry and molecular biology, including nucleic acid structure and metabolism, enzymology, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, metabolic regulation, chromatin architecture, and cell membrane dynamics. My teaching emphasizes the interplay between biochemical pathways, structural biology, and cellular function, ensuring that students gain a comprehensive understanding of metabolic processes and regulatory mechanisms crucial for medicine, biotechnology, and research.
