I aim to create a calm, safe learning environment. First we get clear on how you’re feeling about the subject and what your goals are. Then we work systematically through the material until you feel confident with each step.
With maths (and English, after you are confident with essay writing) I am a big fan of doing timed practice papers, which I will usually get you to do in your own time. Then we go through and revise anything that needs to be revised. I find this process allows us to target the problem areas and you gain confidence as you gradually increase your marks in practice papers.
