I have recently graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Education with French, and am currently studying for an MA in Special and Inclusive Education at UCL. I spent as year working as a teaching assistant at a local primary school, working with whole classes, small groups and supporting children 1:1.

I believe that recognising and nurturing a child’s strengths is just as important as supporting them with the aspects of their learning that they find more challenging. I think tutoring should be a fun and engaging experience rather than a chore, so I like to incorporate children’s interests into tutoring sessions. For 11+ exams, going through past and sample papers from target schools is often helpful as well as worksheets and online resources when focusing on areas identified as particular challenges.
