About Elana
During these in-service experiences, I particularly enjoyed working with children in the preschool grade-level. At this age, while teaching, children experienced things for the very first time and you witnessed it alongside them. I was able to take those experiences and turn them into intentional teachable moments from the foundations of my lessons and later on all age groups. Focusing on their interests to engage and create a safe, loving, classroom community full of excitement to learn from years and years to come. The innocence that surrounds students with such eagerness to learn drove me to do the same every day. I walked into the classroom with love, support, patience, and excitement learning with my students.
