About Paula
I have always had a passion for interior design and was delighted to be asked to help a renowned, international interior designer with several project in Barbados.
At first I just managed the budget side of things but, as time went on and I became more experienced, I met with clients; made up storyboards; sourced items; interpreted plans to ensure that furniture chosen fitted into the room(s); managed budgets and lastly (the fun part) unpacked and placed all items purchased.
My projects have included both residential (whole houses and individual rooms) and commercial properties i.e. restaurants and bars and small hotels
I have also helped many people re-design or stage their own houses, ready to sell, or rent out over the last 5 years.

I offer three practical, fun workshops for anyone who would like to know how to make changes to their home, no matter if it is as simple as giving a fresh look to single room or to the whole house.
Basic: Know your colours and style and how to make changes on a budget
Intermediate: includes the above plus how to redesign a room(s)
Advanced: includes all the above plus first steps to renovation
The workshops will have a maximum of four people but can also be on a one to one basis. Each participant will work on their own design.
By the end of the Basic workshop each participant will have:
Worked out their budget
Know which colours to use
Identified their style
Identified the changes they wish to make and how they impact on the rest of the house
Created their own storyboard
Intermediate - as above, plus
Spatial awareness
Room design skills
Advanced - as above plus
Identified key factors to take into consideration before and during renovation
Identified how to minimize waste
Each workshop lasts for 6 weeks and represents 6 x 1 hour sessions. You do not have to take all three workshops, unless of course you would like to!!!!
Tailor made courses, on a one-to-one basis, can also be arranged.
