About Amy
I’ve been involved in band and choir my entire school life, from elementary through middle and high school, and music has always been a huge part of who I am. Whether it was singing in choir rehearsals, performing on stage, or practicing in band class, I grew up surrounded by music and learned early on how powerful it can be.
Over the years, music became more than just a school activity for me—it became my therapy. It’s where I go when I need to clear my mind, express myself, and feel grounded. I’ve seen firsthand how music can build confidence, discipline, and joy in people of all ages, and that’s something I truly love sharing with others.
Because of that passion, I enjoy teaching and helping others find their own connection to music. Whether someone is picking up an instrument for the first time or working on developing their voice, I believe music should feel encouraging, creative, and personal. My goal is to help students not just learn notes or techniques, but actually enjoy the process and discover how music can be a positive outlet in their lives too.

I offer personalized music lessons designed to help students grow from absolute beginners to advanced performers, with a focus on both trumpet and vocal development.
For beginner trumpet students, lessons start with the basics—how to hold and care for the instrument, proper breathing techniques, producing a clean first sound, and learning simple notes and scales. As students progress, we build tone quality, finger technique, rhythm reading, and confidence playing songs. The goal is to make the trumpet feel natural and enjoyable, not overwhelming.
For singing, I work with students at all levels, from beginners learning pitch control and breathing support to advanced singers focusing on range, tone, and performance skills. For more experienced vocalists, I also offer vocal therapy-style training, which focuses on strengthening the voice safely, improving strain issues, expanding range, and developing healthy vocal habits for long-term use.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals—whether that’s joining choir, performing solo, audition preparation, or just building confidence. The focus is always on strong technique, steady progress, and helping each student find their own sound.
