About Maynard
Singers aiming for longevity in the industry often arrive at my studio after years of pushing through fatigue. I remember standing in a wing at 18, praying my voice would hold for the final act of a 2-hour show. My BFA in Musical Theatre from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama provides the framework for how I address rhythm and phrasing alongside complex belting technique.
I treat the instrument like a physics problem, using acoustics to solve for tone and resonance. You will learn to use microphone technique and specific warm-up exercises to ensure your vocal health and care remain a priority for your career. My approach prioritizes scientific precision over guesswork to keep you singing safely for years.

Hoarseness after a single show is a preventable injury, not an inevitable cost of performing. I spent 11 years uncovering the mechanics behind singing 8 shows a week without vocal strain.
We fix your registers by balancing air pressure and cord tension through precise acoustic adjustments. My studio offers a 6.0 rating in technical clarity because I provide homework vocal drills assigned after every session. I hold a degree from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama where I learned to isolate these specific mechanics. Do you want to understand exactly what your vocal folds are doing when you hit a high belt?
