About Carol
"I believe that anyone can learn to sing with the right guidance and a bit of patience. Over the past six years of teaching, I have helped students from all walks of life find their true voice. My background includes earning a Bachelor of Contemporary Music with a major in voice. This training allows me to comfortably teach everything from classical technique to modern pop, rock, and country styles. I do not believe in a one size fits all method for my students.
Every lesson is tailored to the specific goals and current skill level of the individual learner. We blend vocal technique with practical ear training, harmony work, and foundational music theory. This integrated approach ensures you do not just learn songs, but you actually become a well-rounded musician. I have watched shy beginners turn into confident performers who can hold their own on any stage. Whether you want to sing in a local choir or front a rock band, we will work together to build your confidence and skill."

"Teaching music literacy requires a custom strategy for every singer. For the orchestra member, the focus is on breaking away from relying on an instrument. They already read sheet music well, so we translate that visual knowledge directly into vocal production. We use interval training to help them feel the physical distance between notes in their throat. Rhythm exercises bridge the gap between playing a beat and feeling it in the chest. Sight-singing apps help them practice matching pitch without a piano guiding them.
The crossover artist needs a slightly different path to build strong sight-singing skills. They often have great instincts but need tools to read complex pop or theater arrangements. We focus heavily on notation tools to help them connect what they hear to the written page. Harmony building is essential here, so we practice locking into chords using multi-track recording tools. Rhythm trainers help them master syncopation, which is common in modern commercial music styles. Both personas improve by building a reliable ear-mind-voice connection through daily, deliberate practice."
