About Talia
My passion for singing began with a love for musical storytelling and vocal expression. I pursued this interest academically by earning a B.Mus in Vocal Performance followed by an M.Mus in Voice Pedagogy, giving me a strong foundation in both performance and teaching methodology. Over 8 years of experience, I have guided singers of various levels, helping them develop healthy technique, confidence, and expressive ability. I approach teaching with patience, empathy, and attentiveness to each student’s needs. I emphasize vocal health, mindful practice, and gradual development, ensuring students feel supported rather than pressured. Lessons are adapted to individual voices, goals, and musical interests. Beyond teaching, I continue studying vocal science, repertoire, and performance practices. Teaching singing is deeply fulfilling because I witness students gain confidence, overcome vocal challenges, and discover the joy of expressing themselves authentically through music.

Singing lessons are most effective when students learn to use their voice safely while expressing emotion and musical intention. My lessons focus on breath control, vocal placement, tone production, pitch accuracy, diction, and expressive phrasing. I help students understand how the body functions as an instrument, allowing them to sing with freedom rather than tension. Each session is structured to feel encouraging and focused, helping learners develop confidence and vocal awareness.
Beginner students work on breathing techniques, posture, basic vocal exercises, and simple songs that build comfort and control. Intermediate singers develop range, resonance, articulation, stylistic interpretation, and vocal stamina. Advanced learners refine tone consistency, dynamic control, performance preparation, and advanced repertoire across different styles. Vocal exercises, repertoire study, and constructive feedback are integrated carefully to support healthy progress.
Singing lessons also build confidence, emotional expression, and self-awareness. Students learn to trust their voice, communicate meaning through sound, and perform with assurance. My goal is to help singers enjoy their voice while developing technique that supports long-term vocal health and expressive artistry.
