About Charlotte
For 19 years, I have been helping students learn Piano through engaging and personalised lessons. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals, creating learning experiences that are both educational and enjoyable.
My teaching philosophy centres on patience, positivity, and continuous improvement. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and encouraged throughout their musical journey.
My lessons cover scales, chords, rhythm training, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, and performance preparation. I focus on helping students build confidence while developing strong technical and musical skills.
In addition to Piano instruction, I teach keyboard fundamentals and music reading. These additional skills help students become more independent musicians and deepen their understanding of music.
My goal is to inspire students to enjoy learning and performing music. Through personalised guidance and practical learning techniques, I help students achieve meaningful progress and lasting success.

My teaching methodology focuses on communication, creativity, flexibility, and building a strong musical foundation. I believe every piano student deserves individual attention, positive encouragement, and lessons that match their personal learning style.
Students begin with proper posture, hand position, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and basic music theory. Once these skills become natural, they move on to scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, expressive performance, and advanced musical expression.
Every lesson combines explanation, demonstration, guided practice, and revision. I encourage students to understand music, develop independent practice habits, and enjoy the learning process instead of rushing through lessons.
Students are introduced to music from various genres and encouraged to explore improvisation, accompaniment, and creative performance. This approach develops confidence, musical imagination, and performance skills.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals, music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, music appreciation, sight reading, and performance preparation. These additional lessons strengthen both technical ability and musical knowledge.
My goal is to create motivating and enjoyable lessons that help students achieve steady progress and develop a lifelong appreciation for piano and music.
