I graduated in violin studies in 2016 from the Toulouse Conservatory. I was also lucky enough to study at Udem as an exchange student before settling in Montreal for good. I tour in the US or in Europe every year for different projects, but it never keeps me away from my students too long !
I have a double master degree in film scoring and I teach since 2019 in music schools and for private lessons. Everyone is welcome : beginners, children or adults, or advanced students to perfect their skills.

I also offer coaching for students enrolled in conservatory programs or art-and-study programs. My students have always successfully passed their exams—congratulations to them!

Please note that I also specialize in online teaching and am a certified teacher with Mildor Violon, an online violin school.

J’ai obtenu mon diplôme en violon en 2016 au Conservatoire de Toulouse. J'ai également eu la chance d'étudier à l'Udem en échange universitaire avant de m'installer à Montreal pour de bon. Je pars parfois en tournée aux US ou en Europe mais ça ne m'éloigne jamais de mes élèves très longtemps ! ;)

Je suis diplômée d'un double Master en composition à l'image et mon expérience pédagogique est variée: j'ai donné cours à des débutants très jeunes et moins jeunes en école de musique, et je m'occupe aussi du perfectionnement d'étudiants plus avancés.

Je propose également du coaching pour les élèves en cursus conservatoire ou art/etudes. Mes élèves ont toujours réussi leurs examens, bravo à eux !

A noter : je suis également spécialisée dans l'enseignement en ligne et je suis professeure certifiée de l'école en ligne Mildor Violon.

About the lesson

I use different learning methods depending on each student's profile. For each student, you'll learn a real method that will be useful for the rest of your life as a musician! I usually divide the lesson into 2 parts, with a more technical part (hand warm-up and left-hand agility work, small exercises on problems the student might have), and a more musical part with the pieces. If the student can't read sheet music, I can also teach music theory or use an auditory learning method! I also often suggest playing in duets, because music is above all about sharing :)

J'utilise des méthodes d'apprentissage différentes en fonction du profil de chaque élève. Dans tous les cas, je transmets une véritable méthode de travail qui sera utile pour toute votre vie de musicien! J'ai l'habitude de diviser le cours en 2 parties, avec une partie plus technique (échauffement de la main et travail d'agilité main gauche, petits exercices sur les problèmes que pourrait avoir l'élève), et une partie plus musicale avec les morceaux. S’il ne sait pas lire les partitions, je peux aussi faire apprendre le solfège ou me baser sur une méthode d’apprentissage auditive! Je propose aussi souvent de jouer en duo, car la musique est avant tout un partage :)

Franchement Mauve est une prof de violon ! En plus d’être super talentueuse, elle est patiente même si j’ai eu beaucoup de mal car ma seule expérience n’était qu’à la flûte à bec…. Elle explique tout de façon très claire. On se sent à l’aise dès le départ, et ses conseils permettent vraiment de progresser. Franchement Mauve est une prof de violon ! En plus d’être super talentueuse, elle est patiente même si j’ai eu beaucoup de mal car ma seule expérience n’était qu’à la flûte à bec…. When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I have always loved music and asked my mother to let me learn the violin when I was four years old. Since then, music has never left my life. After completing my musical training as a violinist, I embarked on a new journey into composition for the screen. I hold two master’s degrees and tour regularly throughout the United States and Europe.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
What fascinates me most about music is that it is an abstract art form. It can evoke emotions without relying on semantics or explicit meaning, but rather through pure sensation. As musicians, our canvas is time, and I find that truly poetic.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
I would let my students answer that question, but I believe I have found the right balance between building a relationship of trust and maintaining high standards. My students know that they can always count on me when they encounter difficulties and that I will always be supportive and understanding. At the same time, I remain highly attentive to their progress, as my main priority is to help them grow and improve.
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
My role model would be R. Nadal or N. Osaka. Musicians and athletes have a lot in common : passion, discipline, consistency, motor practice... also I love tennis ;)
What are your keys to success?
In my opinion, consistency is what matters most. Even 15 minutes of practice every day is far more beneficial than one hour of practice once a week! And, of course, passion and a genuine love for music and for the instrument are just as important !
