About Desiree
Orchestral playing, spiccato bowing, and precise tone production are the foundations of my method. I am a detail-oriented teacher.
Having earned a Bachelor of Music from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, I translate complex techniques like shifting positions and vibrato into clear, actionable steps for you. Tuning by ear and mastering staccato bowing are just as important as the exam prep work for ABRSM or Trinity. You will find my approach disciplined yet encouraging as we refine your playing.

Diagnostic assessment before setting the practice plan defines our initial meeting.
We identify where you stand and where you want to go. This clarity helps us move past common sticking points during our weekly sessions. I focus heavily on bowing technique and consistent intonation throughout our time together.
We break down difficult passages into bite-sized segments to ensure nothing stays overwhelming for long. My goal is to ensure you feel more capable after every single meeting. The process remains rigorous but rewarding for those dedicated to improvement. Seeing students overcome technical hurdles is what makes this work so fulfilling for me.
