"Precision in left hand agility and double stops begins with the steady vibration of a well-tuned string under your fingertips. Since starting at 5 with the Suzuki method, I have cultivated a deep focus on listening before reading, a core philosophy that defines my 13 years of instruction. My MMus in Violin from the Eastman School of Music supports a rigorous approach to classical repertoire and music theory.
I routinely prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity grade exams, helping many of them secure positions in regional and national youth orchestras. Throughout my career, I have guided countless musicians toward technical clarity and musical maturity."

"Sometimes the hardest part of practice is just finding the right starting point, and I admit I still wrestle with difficult passages myself. To help bridge that gap, I create custom scale and etude sheets for each student that isolate specific technical hurdles.
Developing a solid foundation requires 10 minutes of careful, deliberate focus on the basics of bowing and intonation. Drawing on my Eastman training, I break down complex compositions into manageable segments that feel less overwhelming. These 8 specific strategies ensure you build physical comfort while navigating demanding solo literature.
