About Reva
"The sharp resonance of a well-tuned violin string remains the most satisfying sound in my studio. I teach music theory, tone production, tuning by ear, and rigorous ear training.
My instruction covers posture and hold, sight reading, shifting positions, double stops, scales and arpeggios, and left hand agility. I have worked with 139 students, ranging from nervous beginners to advanced performers. I rely on my BMus from the University of Toronto to shape every technical interaction. "Fast progress often requires slowing down to observe the smallest movements. I provide a diagnostic assessment before setting the practice plan for your individual goals. My BMus degree informs how I structure every 8.0 unit of instruction. We focus on tone production and posture as the foundation for everything else.
I prioritize left hand agility and double stops to keep your technique sharp. You will find my teaching style direct yet supportive throughout our time together. My 13 years of experience allows me to spot tension before it becomes a habit. I will stay focused on your steady growth during our sessions."
