Double stops and sight reading are often misunderstood as mechanical tasks. These elements require a deep physical intuition that stems from 13 years of performing in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
I integrate the ORFF and Kodály methodology to ensure that technical requirements like spiccato bowing and shifting positions are grounded in internal rhythm. Having guided hundreds of students through RCM Grade 1 through 10, I understand the unique pressure faced by advanced learners.
My studio in Ottawa serves as a laboratory for classical repertoire and precise ear training. Tuning by ear is a core pillar that I prioritize above reliance on digital devices. My degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music provides the formal scaffolding for this expressive work.
