About Sona
I hold a Master’s degree in Violin Performance and have 12 years of teaching experience working with students from beginner to advanced levels. My journey with the violin began with a deep appreciation for classical music, which gradually developed into a strong passion for teaching and performance.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and step-by-step learning. I ensure students understand each technique before moving forward, helping them build confidence gradually. I use demonstrations, structured exercises, and personalized feedback to support steady improvement. I also adapt my teaching style based on each student’s pace and comfort level, creating a supportive and encouraging environment.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy practicing violin and exploring different musical styles to continue improving my skills. Teaching violin is very fulfilling because I see students grow in confidence and ability over time. Helping them achieve their musical goals motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and care.

Learning the violin becomes more effective when students understand how posture, bow movement, and finger placement work together to produce a clear and controlled sound instead of simply trying to play notes. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in proper posture, bow control, intonation, and rhythm through clear and structured guidance. I guide students step by step so they can develop smooth coordination between both hands and produce a consistent tone. I also include exercises that improve pitch accuracy, timing, and musical expression, helping students build confidence with each session. Each lesson is supportive and calm, allowing students to learn comfortably at their own pace.
I design my lessons based on each student’s level and learning goals to ensure steady and balanced progress. Beginners focus on posture, bow handling, and simple melodies. Intermediate learners work on scales, rhythm accuracy, and more structured compositions. Advanced students focus on expressive playing, dynamic control, and performance preparation. Practice routines, guided exercises, and regular feedback are included to support continuous improvement and deeper understanding.
Violin lessons also help students develop patience, discipline, and focus. As they improve, they gain confidence in their ability to perform and express emotions through music. Many learners enjoy the gradual progress that comes with mastering the instrument. My goal is to make violin learning structured, engaging, and confidence-building.
